HIRING 1 FULL TIME DRIVER IN BLOOMINGTON, IL – CDL B (WITH HAZMAT)

Our Drivers…

  • Are responsible for locally delivering and unloading compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders and hardgoods to customers via Weldstar /Depke trucks.
  • Deliver most often within routes of 100 miles or less.
  • CDL B (with HazMat and Tanker Endorsements) (Preferred)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities…

  • Pick up empty cylinders and record delivery and pickup requirements on manifests and complete all required paperwork.
  • Performs pre and post trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies.
  • Loads/unloads truck
  • Maintains load manifests, lot numbers, labels, and ensures manifests are balanced with truck load of materials.
  • Ensures all safety items are in good working order and follows all safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintains neat, clean, and professional appearance, and maintains professional customer relations.
  • Listens to and resolves service / delivery inquiries.

Additional Responsibilities…

  • Work with customers on maintaining proper cylinder levels.
  • Assist customers when necessary.
  • Assist with inventory, general housekeeping, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Education Requirements…

  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), valid US DOT Medical Examiner’s certificate
  • HAZMAT Endorsement, excellent Driving Record
  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of verifiable professional driving experience, or 6 months with proof of graduating from a certified driving school
  • Ability to perform very heavy work, routinely lifting, pushing, pulling 25 -75 pounds, with occasional weights being 75 – 100 pounds, ability to push up to 1000 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, crouching, balancing, frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and finger/hand dexterity to be able to use hand tools and ratcheting.
  • Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets, must be able to safely drive a forklift.
  • Ability to work independently and to be able to handle pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work outdoor in temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 100 degrees.
  • Must be able to operate in a drug & alcohol-free workplace, must consent & pass background check.
