Job Overview
Weldstar is seeking dependable and safety-focused CDL Delivery Drivers to deliver industrial gases, welding supplies, and related products to our customers. This position combines professional driving with hands-on delivery responsibilities and regular interaction with customers.
Duties
- Safely load, transport, deliver, and unload cylinders, welding supplies, and related products.
- Complete scheduled delivery routes efficiently and accurately.
- Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
- Properly handle, secure, and transport compressed gas cylinders and other materials.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate delivery and transportation documentation.
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers.
- Communicate customer questions, concerns, or needs to the appropriate Weldstar team member.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized delivery vehicle.
- Follow all federal, state, and local regulations regarding commercial driving and hazardous materials.
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
- Hazmat endorsement required for applicable positions.
- Safe driving record.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial driving requirements.
- Ability to safely load and unload products.
- Ability to lift, move, push, and pull heavy cylinders and materials using appropriate equipment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
- Previous commercial driving or delivery experience preferred.
